Pakistan air force have received another three F-16 C/D Block-52+ fighter jets from the United States of America. These aircrafts have arrived at PAF Base, Shahbaz in Jacobabad on Saturday. Remaining aircrafts from the order of 18 F-16 C/D Block-52+ fighter jets will be delivered by US to Pakistan air force by December, 2010.

General Ashfaq Kayani Orders Investigation of Footage Showing Execution of Civilians
Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani has ordered investigation into a video footage which was posted on the internet showing execution of civilians by personnel dressed in Pakistan Army uniforms.
Investigation team will be lead by a two star general to establish the true identity of uniformed personnel and the veracity of the video footage. COAS has said that ’It is not expected of a professional army to engage in excesses against the people whom it is trying to guard against the scourge of terrorism. He has also said that in past militants posed themselves as soldiers to commit the acts of terrorism in the country.
Sherdils Aerobatics Display Team of Pakistan Air Force
Aerobatics display team of PAF is called Sherdil. This team is based at the Pakistan Air Force Academy which is located in Risalpur, Pakistan. Earlier this team was flying the US T-37 "Tweety Bird" but now Pakistan airforce have replaced T-37 with the K-8 "Karakorum" jet trainer which was jointly developed by Pakistan and China.

On March 25, 2005 the United States agreed to sell new F-16s to the Pakistan air force. On October 14 2009, US maked public the first batch of the advance 18 F-16 C/D Block-52+ fighter aircrafts which are being produced for Pakistan air force. Delivery of these advance 18 F-16 C/D Block-52+ fighter aircrafts will be completed by December 2010. The 18 F-16 C/D Block-52+ aircrafts ordered by the Pakistan air force includes 12 F-16Cs (single seat) and six F-16Ds (dual seat)- with and option on another 18 F-16 C/D Block-52+ fighter. PAF also operates around 45 F-16A/B that are being upgraded to F-16AM/BM.
Pakistani F-16 C/D Block-52+ will carry conformal fuel tanks (CFTs) which will allow them to carry an additional 2,045 litres of fuel along with provisions for the 600 US gal (2,271 litre) for increased range or time on station and free up underwing hard points for weapons. These aircrafts carry advance APG-68 (V9) radar which offers 30 percent increase in detection range along with the two-foot resolution in new Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) mode for autonomous delivery of precision, all-weather, standoff weapons and Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing Systems.

Pakistan Deploys Anti-Aircraft Missiles System in FATA to Prevent NATO Attacks
To prevent the NATO forces attacking inside Pakistani air space, Pakistan has deployed an air defense system along its border with the troubled Afghanistan. This was news was revealed by Member National Assembly Munir Orakzai while he was speaking to the SAMAA TV in a program, 'Mohaaz'.
Pakistan as decided to deploy anti-aircraft missiles system in its tribal regions of FATA that are near Afghanistan to stop the NATO attack which resulted in deaths of Pakistani soldiers. Officials have said “Now no helicopter will be able to escape after entering into Pakistani territory.”

Pakistan Blocks Vital Supply Route of NATO After Cross-Border Attacks
Pakistan has blocked one of the route used by the NATO for its supplies in Afghanistan. This happened after repeated attacks by the NATO gunship helicopters which attacked and killed the personal of Pakistani security forces.
