Pakistan shouldn’t be blamed for failings of ISAF Strategy in Afghanistan: Foreign Ministry

Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Tehmina Janjua said, "I would like to categorically state that we do not share the assessment of the US." She also said, "Pakistan should not be held accountable for the failings of coalition strategy in Afghanistan."

Pakistan has said that it has already deployed around 147,000 soldiers in the border region of Pakistan and Afghanistan. This means that Pakistani security forces have deployed 13,000 more troops then that of US-led NATO force in Afghanistan.

Pakistani security forces have suffered causalities of over 2,800 soldiers and another 8,700 seriously injured since 2001. In addition to all this over 4,200 Pakistanis have been killed across Pakistan in attacks by the terrorists.
