Russian Ground Forces Commander-in-Chief in Pakistan

Russian Ground Forces Commander-in-Chief Colonel General Alexander Postnikov has met with the Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.


He is one of the few to Russian military leaders to ever visit Pakistan. He was given given a guard of honor and full protocol upon his arrival at the General Headquarters. Both Generals discussed matters of mutual interest, and evolving geo strategic situation of the region.

General Alexander Postnikov also met with the General Khalid Shameem Wynne, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) at Joint Staff Headquarters Chaklala.
