India Must Develop ICBM with Range Over 10,000km: Chief of Indian Air Force

Indian Air Chief, Air Chief Marshal Pradeep Vasant Naik has said that India should develop intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM) with range over 10,000 km to ensure that India can target any part of the world if required.

This satatement came only days after announcement by the Indian Defence Minister AK Antony that Indian   Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) will launch nuclear capable Agni-V Inter-Continental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs) by the end of 2011. Agni-V is a three stage solid fuel ballistic missile with range of 5,000 km.
