India Delays Testing of Agni-II Ballistic Missile Due to Technical Problems

India had to delay the test firing of the Agni-II intermediate range ballistic missile due to the technical problems sufferedf by the missile.

Earlier it was announced that India plans to test fire the Agni-II intermediate range ballistic missile which has a range of over 2000 kilometers and can carry nuclear warheads.

Missile was to be lauched from the Integrated Test Range off the Orissa coast against a target in the in the Bay of Bengal.

This missile test was part of the user-trials by the Inidan Army and the Strategic Forces Command. This test was considered as  very important for the confidence of the Inidan Strategic Forces Command as earlier tests of the Agni-II ballistic missile has given mix results. New dates for the test has yet not been decided.
