Admiral M Asif Sandila Appointed as New Chief of Naval Staff

Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari has appointed Vice Admiral M Asif Sandila as new chief of naval staff (CNS) for the Pakistan Navy. Vice Admiral M Asif Sandila  has been promoted by the President to the rank of Admiral.

Admiral M Asif Sandila will takeover the command of the Pakistan Navy from the Admiral Noman Bashir who completes his three-year term on October 7, 2011.
