Pakistani Warship F-22P PNS Saif (FFG-253) has arrived in Sri Lanka on 26th November 2011and it was welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy. The PNS Saif's Commanding Officer Captain Muhammad Zubair Shafique has visited the Sri Lankan Naval Headquarters and met with the Rear Admiral Jayantha Perera.

PNS Saif is a F-22P Zulfiquar class frigate which was launched on the May 28, 2009 and Commissioned on 5th September 2010.
PNS Saif is armed with eight C-802A long range surface-to-surface Anti-Ship missiles to destroy the enemy warships, eight ready to fire FM-90 surface-to-air missiles to counter air threats along with reloads and two triple torpedo tubes to tackle the submarine threat.
PNS SAIF is using the Chinese version of the Russian AK-176M 76.2 mm as its main gun. Two 30 mm seven barrel gattling guns also called 730B Close -in-Weapon System (CIWS) are used to act as last defense of the ship against air and surface threats.

In next phase, Pakistani F-22P PNS Saif (FFG-253) frigate will reach Port of Karachchi in Pakistan to participate in the Langkavi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition 2011 (LIMA – 11) held in Malaysia from 06th to 10th December.
