Efforts To Vacate Shamsi Air Base In Full Swing

During last five days, a total of  twelve US cargo flights has left Pakistani Shamsi air base for Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan with sensitive equipment and personal. Local media has reported that 7 US cargo transport planes has landed at the airbase to transport the rest of the US crew and equipment to Afghanistan.



The United States was ordered by the Pakistani Federal Government to evacuate the Shamsi air base after deadly NATO attacks on Pakistani security check posts near Pak-Afghan border which left 24 soldiers dead.
