How Long Till US Hellfire Will Break Loose in Pakistan

How Long Till US Hellfire Will Break Loose in Pakistan? is the question on almost all minds concerned about the Pak-US relations.United States has vacated the Shamsi Air Base at the request of the Pakistani government and shifted all its personal, armed drones and equipment to its bases in Afghanistan.

There has been no CIA drone attacks using Hellfire missiles in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) since November 17. The United States intelligence community feels that drone strike at this moment in time can push US relations with Pakistan to a point of no return.

While United States government don’t want to push Pakistan into a situation where they feel that they can't support the US war on terror, US intelligence agencies and US government feels that drone strikes are essential to their win in Afghanistan and President Barack Obama will find it hard to put an absolute end to the american drones firing AGM-114 Hellfire is an air-to-surface missiles against targets in Pakistan in an election year.

In one of the US cables released by the WikiLeaks, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani was quoted saying that he doesn’t care about these attacks by the US unmanned aerial vehicles and his government will protest against these attacks in the National Assembly of Pakistan for some time as a face saving exercise and later on everyone will pay no attention to it.
