Commander of International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan, General John R. Allen has said that he is seeing signs of end of the communications blackout by Pakistan which it imposed on the ISAF & US after the deadly NATO attack.
General John R. Allen ha confirmed that he had a direct communication via a phone call with the spoke on the phone Monday with the Chief of Army Staff of the Pakistan Army, General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani for the first time after the NATO attack.ISAF commander said, "I do have a sense of progress, The conversation was clearly about attempting to resolve the issue ... around the border incident, in the sense that, let's restore border coordination so that we can move on."
General John R. Allen has hoped that Pakistan will soon restore its liaison officers to the border coordination centers, which were pulled by Pakistan after the attack.
