Shahbaz Air Base Under PAF Control: Ministry of Defence

The spokesperson of the Pakistani Ministry of Defence has rejected the media reports that Shahbaz Air Base of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) is under partial control of the United States.

Spokesperson said that media reports claiming that US may have partial control of the airbase are incorrect and PAF maintains full control of the air base.

The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) operates the latest F-16 C/D Block 52+ fighter jets from the Pakistan Air Force’s Shahbaz airbase. PAF has purchased 12 F-16 C and 6  F-16 D Block 52+ fighter jets from the United States while another 45 F-16 A/B will updated to the latest configuration.
