Pakistani soldiers were able to foil an attack by over 300 Taliban militants on a security check post in the Kurram agency in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) of Pakistan.
This bloody clash has resulted in the death of around 43 which included eight Pakistani soldiers while 35 militants were also shot down by the security forces of Pakistan. It is reported that dozens of other were injured.
ISPR has stated, “Security forces foiled miscreants’ attempt to dislodge a newly-established check-post on Jogi heights in the Mamozai area (of Central Kurram). And in the (ensuing) exchange of fire 35 miscreants were killed.”
