India Deploys Additional BrahMos Missiles Along Pakistani Border

Indian army has stepped up its perpetrations to implement the 'Cold Start' war doctrine by inducting additional unit of BrahMos supersonic cruise missile regiment which will be deployed near Pakistani border.

BrahMos supersonic cruise missile is a customised version of the Russian Yakhont (P-800 Oniks)supersonic anti-ship cruise missile. BrahMos has been jointly customised by the Indian Defence Research and Development Organisation ( DRDO) and Russian Federal State Unitary Enterprise NPO Mashinostroyenia ( NPOM) under BrahMos Aerospace to meet the Indian requirements for land attack role beside its traditional anti-ship role.

BrahMos missile has a maximum range of 290 kilometre when employing high low trajectory, with missile cruising at 14,000 meters and 120 kilometre when employed in low low trajectory.

Pakistan Army has already inducted stealthy Hatf-VII Babur Land Attack Cruise Missile (LACM) with range of over 700 kilometre while 1000 km range version is already underdevelopment.

Pakistani Hatf-VII Babur Land Attack Cruise Missile (LACM) employs Terrain Contour Matching (TERCOM) and Digital Scene Matching and Area Co-relation (DSMAC) which allows it to hit its target with pinpoint accuracy.
