Pakistani  Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif visited the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) and witnessed the demonstration of T-129 Attack and Tactical Reconnaissance Helicopters. Pakistan will send its team of experts from Kamra Re-build Factory to look into the technical details involved in joint production of T-129 Attack Helicopters.

Pakistan and Turkey has sign 13 agreements and memorandum of understanding (MoU) for joint cooperation in different fields in the presence of the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.


Turkish T-129 (AW729) attack helicopter is a highly optimised for “hot & high” environments version of the Agusta A129 Mangusta gunship helicopter designed to meet the Turkish requirements. It can carry a payload of 8 UMTAS air-to-surface anti-tank guided missile (ATGM), 12 guided 2.75” rockets, 2 air-to-air missiles and 500 rounds, simultaneously. UMTAS anti-tank guided missile uses Infrared Imaging Seeker and Laser Seeker and it can destroy targets from a distance of 8 km.

Pakistn To Receive Its First FC-20 / J-10B Fighter Jet Next Year

Pakistan air force (PAF) will receive next year its first FC-20 / J-10B fighter jet which is an J-10B fighter jet powered By indigenous WS-10 engine has been spotted. J-10B is an improved version of the basic J-10A and is powered by indigenous WS-10 engine. This has been reported by the Chinese language want-daily.com.

J-10B fighter jet employs all new chin-mounted diverterless supersonic inlet (DSI) air intake, Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA ) radar and Electro-Optic Targeting System (EOTS) placed infront of cockpit canopy to the right..
J-10B fighter jets can carry both Short Range Within Visual Range (WVR) Missiles as well as SD-10A / PL-12 Beyond Visual Range Air to Air Missile (BVRAAM).

General Kayani Meets Defense Minister of Kazakhstan

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani has arrived in Kazakhstan and met with the Defence Minister Kazakhstan. He also discussed issues of mutual interest to include defence and security cooperation with the Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan.

Sino-Pak Air Forces Continues Joint Aerial Exercise ‘Shaheen II’

People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) and Pakistan Air Force (PAF) are jointly conducting air operations to validate joint air power employment concepts during the Shaheen-II.  

The Shaheen II joint areal exercise will allow PAF and PLAAF crew to learn from the experience of each other.  Pakistan Air Force has sent its Mirage and F-7PG fighter aircraft to take part in the exercise while Chinese side will use their J-10, J-11 and JH-7 fighter aircrafts.

Pakistan Navy Inducts F-22P Zulfiquar Class Guided Missile Frigate, PNS Aslat

Pakistan Navy has inducted first Pakistani made F-22P Zulfiquar Class frigate, PNS Aslat into its fleet in an impressive ceremony attended by the Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Karachi.  The F-22P PNS Aslat will  enhance the war fighting capabilities of the Pakistan Navy


Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has called the the completion of the PNS Aslat Guided Missile Frigate on time  as a milestone for Pakistan. PNS Aslat guided missile frigate is the fourth warship of the F-22P Zulfiqar class frigate which was  manufactured by the Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KSEW) with transfer of technology from China State Shipbuilding Company (CSSC), China Shipbuilding and Trading Company (CSTC).

PNS Aslat guided missile frigate is armed with 8x C-802A long range surface-to-surface Anti-Ship missiles to battle against enemy ships, 8x  ready to fire FM-90 surface-to-air missiles to counter air threats along with reloads and two triple torpedo tubes. PNS Aslat guided missile frigate is using the Chinese version of the Russian AK-176M 76.2 mm as its main gun. Two 30 mm seven barrel gattling guns also called 730B Close -in-Weapon System (CIWS) are used to act as last defense of the ship against air and surface threats.

Weapons:

Surface to Surface Missiles: 2x Quadruple C-802A  Anti-Ship missile launchers

Main Gun: 76mm gun based on the Russian AK-176M weapon

ASW: Two triple ET-52C 324mm torpedo tubes and two sextuple RDC-32 rocket launchers

Sword class also carries Echo Type 5 hull-mounted active search and track sonar

Surface to Air Missiles: 8x FM-90N Surface to Air Missiles

Short Range Air Defense: Two Type 730 30mm seven-barrel guns

Helicopter: Sword class carries a Z-9EC helicopter. Z-9EC helicopter will provide PN with capability of over-the-horizon targeting for the long range C-802 missiles in addition to its anti-submarine capability.

Crew: Ship’s core crew is 188, but has a capacity to carry 212 for long period and 250 for short periods.
