Role of Pakistani Security Forces is Unquestionable in WOT:US CENTCOM

After rejection of US report by Pakistani authorities which criticized the Pakistani armed forces for not following a clear line of action against the militants, United States Central Command (Centcom) Commander General James N Mattis has come to Pakistan and met with the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani in Rawalpindi

Pakistani media has reported that Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani has once again gave a clear message to the US that drone attacks in FATA are counter-productive because these attacks are pushing the local tribal people away and helping in spread of the anti-Americanism in the region.


Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani has also spoken deep reservations on the White House report and said that Pakistani armed forces are doing a great job and are tackling the terrorists with iron hands.

In response to this General James N. Mattis, Commander United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) said the role of the Pakistani armed forces Army is unquestionable.

General James N. Mattis, Commander United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) also held meeting with the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Khalid Shameem Wynne at Joint Staff Headquarters.

Different matters like the security situation in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Pak-US defense cooperation came under discussion. General James N. Mattis assured the Pakistani side that his country is committed to the military assistance for Pakistan to bolster its capabilities against the militants.

General Khalid Shameem Wynne also described the massive role Pakistani armed forces are playing in war against terrorism and the countless sacrifices which Pakistan as a nation has made in this war. Commander United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) commended the role of Pakistan security forces.
