Integrated Dynamics initiated the work to design the on the Desert Hawk Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) in late 2003 to meet the requirements of the Pakistani army for hand launched Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) requirements. First prototype conducted its flight trials in 2004. Desert Hawk UAV was intended to be capable of both powered and unpowered flight.
Desert Hawk system developed by the Integrated Dynamics consists of 2 to 4 Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) and a portable ground control station. Desert Hawk UAV also demonstrated the communications relay capability in 2005.
Integrated Dynamics’ Desert Hawk UAV System is designed to provide live aerial video for law enforcement agencies at a fraction of the cost of helicopters and other surveillance assets. Desert Hawk can be controlled from the ground control station, where a camera operator directs the electronically stabilized color TV camera to areas of interest. Color camera used in the Desert Hawk offers zoom of 24:1 ratio.
Desert Hawk UAV System is designed low altitude, low cost system which can be quickly assembled and operated with minimal training. Desert Hawk UAV System has an endurance of over two hours. Endurance is around 2h.
