Pakistan Navy has inducted the first squadron of indigenously developed UQAB-II Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). These UAVs are capable of carrying different type sensors to support of maritime interdiction operation in the Pakistani coastal areas.
Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Noman Bashir was the chief guest at the induction ceremony of indigenously developed UQAB-II. Pakistani Naval Chief said, “UAVs induction is a manifestation of Pakistan Navy’s commitment and resolve towards self-reliance and indigenization.”
He said, “Cognizant of heightened surveillance measures at all times, the induction of UQAB-II UAVs will provide essential experience to PN and necessary impetus to utilize this particular segment of warfare to the best use of naval objectives.”
Two Small Tanker Utility Ships (STUS) named Madadgar and Rasa-Dgar were commissioned in the Pakistan Navy last Tuesday, while the PNS Alamgir has been formally inducted to the fleet of the Pakistan Navy.
