Pakistani officials has confirmed that Pakistan Navy has so far not received any official word from the United States about the replacement of the two P-3C Orion maritime surveillance aircrafts which were destroyed in the terrorists attack at the Pakistani Naval base in Karachi.
Source in the Pakistan Navy said on the condition of anonymity that no official from United Sates has indicated that if the replace the destroyed P-3C Orion maritime surveillance aircrafts will be would be leased out or sold.
The P-3C Orion maritime surveillance aircraft are used for surface and subsurface surveillance missions and Pakistan Navy has been using them in support of anti terror activities in FATA and in Pakistani coastal areas to provide Pakistani commanders on ground with latest intelligence with its very advance sensors and high endurance.
