Damaged in Terrorist Attack, Saab-2000 AEW&C Now Operational
Engineers from Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, Kamra have been able to repair Saab 2000 AEW&C airborne early warning and control aircraft and it is now operational with Pakistan AIr Force.
Senate Standing Committee on Defence Production was informed that foreign engineers estimated cost of repair to be around 30 million dollars while indigenous repair has costed only half of this.
The Saab 2000 AEW&C was damaged in an attack by terrorists on Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, Kamra.

No. 2 Minhas Squadron Reequipes With JF-17 Thunder Block-II
The JF-17 Thunder fighter jet is armed with C-802A Anti-ship Missile for use against maritime targets such as warships from standoff distance of 180 kilometers.
In maritime strike role JF-17 Thunder will be able to carry two SD-10A Beyond Visual Range Air to Air Missile (BVRAAM) and 2x PL-5E II Within Visual Range Air-to-Air Missile (WVRAAM) for self-defense purposes.

Three Terrorist Killed by Pakistani Burraq Drone Strike
Director General of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asim Bajwa has confirmed that three terrorist were killed in first ever drone strike in North Waziristan by Pakistan Army
Drone attack was conducted by Pakistani Burraq Medium Altitude Medium Endurance Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle (UCAV) armed with laser-guided ‘Barq’ missile in Shawal valley of North Waziristan.

Keel Laying Ceremony of Third Azmat Class Fast Attack Missile Craft (FAMC) Held
Keel laying ceremony for construction of third Azmat Class Fast Attack Missile Craft (FAMC) was was held at Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works (KS&EW).
Azmat Class Fast Attack Craft Missile has 63 metres length and displacement of around 560 tonnes , top speed of around 30 knots and maximum range of 1000 nautical miles. The ship is equipped with indigenous weapons and sensors.
First two boats of this class are equipped with eight Chinese C-802A/CSS-N-8 Saccade anti-ship missiles. This new Fast Attack Missile Craft is being constructed by the Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works (KS&EW) under the Transfer of Technology agreement from China Shipbuilding & Offshore International Company (CSOC). and Xingang Shipyard.

United States has agreed to supply Pakistan with 15 AH-1Z Viper Attack Helicopters along with 1000 AGM-114R Hellfire II Missiles and associated equipment at cost of $952 million.

China is also willing to offer its latest attack helicopter and it has provided Pakistan Army with three China's Z-10 next-generation attack helicopter and at same time Pakistan army has also ordered Mi-35 Hind E attack helicopters from Moscow.

Pak Navy To Purchase Eight Attack Submarines from China and ATR-72 Aircrafts
Government of Pakistan has informed National Assembly Standing Committee on Defence that it given go-ahead to for purchase of eight Diesel Electric Attack Submarines from China. Government officials also confirmed that Pakistan Navy is also in market for second hand submarines and PN is currently is conducting negotiations with different countries including Germany, and France for this purpose.
Pakistan is advance stages of negotiations for purchase of eight diesel electric attack submarines from China. GOP has also approved $ 294 million fund request for upgrade/induct ATR-72 surveillance and transport aircrafts by Pakistan Navy. ATR-72 surveillance and transport aircraft will be used for effective surveillance of extended exclusive economic zone and search-and-rescue (SAR) operations.
