Talks between Indian Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao and her Pakistani counterpart Salman Bashir has ended in Islamabad. Pakistan Allocates Rs.56 Billion for Internal Security

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><div style="text-align: justify;">Due to ever increasing threat of terrorist attack on the nation,budget for the internal security was increased to Rs. 56 billion for the fiscal year 2011-12. This marks an increase of 2.6% over the internal security budget for the outgoing fiscal year. Last year Rs. 54.58 billion were allocated by the federal government of Pakistan.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br> </div><div style="text-align: justify;">A large sum of this allocation will be used in paying the salaries, allowances and accommodation facilities of the Pakistani security departments. Federal government has allocated Rs. 102 million for raising the Balochistan Constabulary and Rs. 300 million were allocated for setting up 'National Forensic Science Agency' headquarters and the Islamabad laboratory.</div></div>

Pakistani Defense Budget Increased by 11.37%
