India will conduct three ballistic missile tests in the second half of this month. Nuclear capable Shaurya, Prithvi-II and Agni-II ballistic missile are scheduled to be tested from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) off the Orissa coast.
India will test the Shaurya surface-to-surface ballistic missile at any time between 17-18 September. Shaurya missile has been developed by the Indian Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO). It has a range of 750 kilometers.
Prithvi-II will be tested between 22-24 September from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) off the Orissa coast. and this will be followed by the test firing of the Agni-II on 30 September. India had to cancel the test firing of the Agni-II due to technical snags last month.
