Missile employs infra-red imaging (IIR) seeker for digital scene-matching capability </span></span><span style="font-size: 15px; text-align: left;"><span style="color: #191919; font-family: "verdana" , "arial" , sans-serif;">to achieve Circular Error Probable (CEP) of just 3 meters.</span></span></div>

The LY-80 medium range surface to air missile is capable of destroying aerial target from an 15 m to 18000m of altitude, Earlier versions of LY-80 Low to Medium Altitude Air Defence System (LOMADS) has range of 40km against fighter jets while latest version has increased range of 70km. Missile system is also capable of destroying low flying cruisemissiles at distance of 12 km.</div>
