It was the same airbase which was being used by the American launch unmanned aerial strikes against targets in the tribal region of the Pakistan.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br> </div><div style="text-align: justify;">Shamsi Air Base in Balochistan was provided to the United States to for logistical support operation at the start of the Afghan war and it was used extensively by the Americans in 2001 to launch sorties against targets in Afghanistan.</div></div>
