The LY-80 medium range surface to air missile is capable of destroying aerial target from an 15 m to 18000m of altitude, Earlier versions of LY-80 Low to Medium Altitude Air Defence System (LOMADS) has range of 40km against fighter jets while latest version has increased range of 70km. Missile system is also capable of destroying low flying cruisemissiles at distance of 12 km.</div>

Flying officer Mariam Mukhtar of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) was killed today when one of F-7 fighter jet crashed near Kundian, Mianwali.  Mariam got injured while ejecting from her aircraft and didnt survive the injuries. She became first female pilot of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) to be martyred.<br />

Engineers from Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, Kamra  have been able to repair Saab 2000 AEW&C airborne early warning and control aircraft  and it is now operational with Pakistan AIr Force.</div>
