Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Asif Sandila accompanied by Commander Pakistan Fleet and Commander Coast today visited the Pakistan Navy’s Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) set up at HQ 1st Pak Marine Battalion in Sajawal, Creeks area during operational visit to field units. A Pakistan Navy press release issued here on Friday said that during the visit, Admiral Sandila was briefed about the operational employment and material preparedness of PN Fleet’s UAV Squadron deployed in the Creeks Areas.
The Naval Chief also witnessed the operational flying activities of the indigenously built UQAB UAV and addressed the troops deployed in Creeks Areas on operational assignment.
Chief of the Naval Staff said that over the years, Pakistan Navy has made gradual yet substantial progress in consolidating operational experience of handling Hi-Tech UAVs in line with contemporary warfare trends.
He expressed his complete satisfaction over the operational capabilities demonstrated by the UAV Squadron.
He appreciated the efforts put in by the concerned officers and men in establishing the UAV Squadron and its effective integration in Pakistan Navy’s Operations.
Earlier, Admiral Sandila visited PN Dockyard to monitor the progress of Pakistan Navy Ships and Submarine under planned maintenance schedule.
While talking to the team of Pakistan Navy’s engineers and technicians, the Admiral emphasised on the need to continue focus on indigenisation of maintenance and logistics solutions in Pakistan Navy.
He commended the efforts being put in by PN engineers and technical staff for their meticulous job and professional achievements.
