Pakistani Peacekeepers Rescues the Turkish Ambassador at Ivory Coast

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><div style="text-align: justify;"></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Pakistani Peace Keepers have rescued the Ambassador of Turkey, Mr Yekcin Kaga Erensoi at Ivory Coast. Rescued efforts were launched by the Pakistani Peace Keepers at the request of the Turkish Ambassador who along with three other staff members, Mr Golant, Mr Mahmut (third Secretary) and Mr Ali Ahisk were trapped in a Hotel.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br> </div><div style="text-align: justify;">Once made aware of the situation Pakistani troops started the rescue efforts to safely evocate the Turkish Embassy staff in the hotel at Ivory Coast (Abijan) where gun battle was going on in rival factions. Pakistani Peace Keepers were also able to rescue another Nine Nigerian citizens which were also trapped in same area.</div></div>

Pakistan Army Trains the Quick Response Unit of Sindh Police

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><div style="text-align: justify;">Four week long close quarters battle (CQB) training of 202 police officers including Inspectors, Assistant Sub Inspectors, Sergeants and Constables of the Sindh Police was completed under the supervision of the Karachi Corps. Purpose of this training was to enhance the skills of the police officers to face the modern day challenges like terrorism and hostage situations.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br> </div><div style="text-align: justify;">Police officers were trained in the close quarter battle (CQB) which focused on small units engaging the enemy with personal defense weapons at very short range. In this kind of situation police officers will be required to have great proficiency with their weapons as they will have to make split second decisions to decrease the casualties to the civilians in the area. </div></div>

This was the first time that a Chinese air force contingent was deployed to Pakistan for a joint air exercise.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br> </div><div style="text-align: justify;">Chinese contingent included fighter jets, pilots and support staff, both side focused on learning from each other’s experiences and skills to enhance their own capabilities. So far both sides have refined from disclosing any sort of details about the types of aircraft used by PAF and PLAAF, nature of missions performed and location of this joint drill.</div></div>
