Another attack was launched by the Afghan Talibans against Pakistani areas in Upper Dir from across the border. This time Pakistani security forces were ready and responded with superior firepower and caused enough causalities to the enemy to force them to flee back to their bases in Afghanistan.
Pakistan has already registered an official protest with the Afghan government about the attack in Shaltalo village. Pakistani security officials say that Taliban are using the sanctuaries Afghanistan's Kunar province to launch attack against Pakistani areas.
