Three terrorists which were killed by the naval special force operators during PNS Mehran operation has been identified as Uzbek while another was Afghan national.
Local media has also reported that there are some indications of involvement of the Al-Qaeda leader Saif el Adil’s in attacks against Pakistani naval base. Investigator say that terrorists were fully aware of the exact location of P-3C orion maritime surveillance aircraft.
Initial investigation indicates that terrorists had two assignments: destruction of the pride of Pakistan naval aviation P-3C Orions and taking foreign technical staff hostage.
Members of the Rapid Response Team and Special Forces sacrificed their lives without any hesitation in order to move the foreign nationals away from the scene safely.
