Five PAF officers are among the victims of the terrorist attack at an Iftar party at the Decent Hotel located in the Cantonment Plaza on the Mardan-Nowshera Road.
Terrorists used a remote-controlled bomb to attack the Iftar party in which 11 were killed while another 25 were injured. Remote-controlled bomb was fitted to a kidÃs tricycle and it was set off though a remote control detonator.
Bomb was of medium intensity which also damaged the hotel building and sent a wave of fear among residents of the area. Law enforcement forces and rescue teams quickly arrived at the scene of the attack and started the rescue operation.
