Pakistan army is answerable to the representative of Pakistani people and considers that their support is essential in winning war against the terrorists. This was said by the Chief of the Army Staff, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani in his speech at the ‘National Seminar on De-Radicalisation’.
General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani said that Pakistan Army is answerable to the people of Pakistan and he believes that it is the people of Pakistan and their representatives in the parliament which should decide what is in the Pakistan’s interest and what type of role they expect from the army in achieving the goals set by them.
He said, “The Pakistan Army is determined to lead the fight on terror in partnership with other law enforcement agencies and in line with the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan”.
