Shahida Badshah, senior-most of army's two-star generals is likley to become first Pakistani woman three-star general. Badshah is likely to get promoted later this year when five lieutenant generals retire in the next month.
Shahida Badshah will replace the outgoing Surgeon General Lt Gen Rehan Burney as he is scheduled to retire along with four other three-star generals in October.
Pakistan is the only Islamic country in the world where a women was promoted to the ranks of major generals.
