Despite the so called strong protests by the by the government of Pakistan drone strikes attacks in North Waziristan Agency (NWA) and rumors of putting the PAF on high alert, US drones have kept flying North Waziristan Agency (NWA) area.
Protests were launched against the drone strike which killed over 40 innocent civilians in the area when US drones targeted a peaceful tribal jirga. Different sources have claimed that atleast 12 US drone flights were recorded in the area.
Five to eight drones were seen flying at high altitude over different areas of the region where an unmanned aircraft attacked a tribal jirga on Thursday, killing 45 civilians.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) spokesman, Air Commodore Tariq Qamar Yazdanie has rejected the claims by local media that PAF has been placed on high alert by the government of Pakistan. He said that Pakistan Air Force is always on alert to protect the Pakistan’s airspace under the directions provided by the government.
