Pakistani Army Chief, General Kayani has strongly condemned the attack by the US Predator drones in the North Waziristan Agency which has resulted in large number of civilian causalities.
Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani said that this attack was undesirable consideration that it was used to target a peaceful jirga of tribal elders of the North Waziristan Agency. He said that this attack coldheartedly targeted the innocent people without any regard to human life.
He said that US Predator drones was in violation of international laws and against basic human rights which simply destroy the objective of elimination of terrorism.
In statement issued by the ISPR, Pakistan Army had also condoled with the effected families wich have lost their dear ones in this irrational attack. Pakistan Army is fighting against the terrorists, not against the tribal people and such attacks are undermining the efforts of Pakistan to control the small elements in the area from getting support from general population.
