F-22P PNS Aslat Frigate Launched for the Pakistan Navy

PNS Aslat, the 4th warship of the F-22P Zulfiqar class frigate has been launched for the Pakistan Navy (PN). PNS Aslat has been manufactured by the Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KSEW) with transfer of technology from China State Shipbuilding Company (CSSC), China Shipbuilding and Trading Company (CSTC).

PNS Aslat will be handed over to te Pakistan Navy by the Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KSEW)in December next year. Launching ceremony of the PNS Aslat was attended by the Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Noman Bashir.

Pakistan Navy already operates 3 Chinese built warships of the F-22P Zulfiqar class, PNS Zulfiqar, PNS Shamsheer, and PNS Saif.

It has also been confirmed by the Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KSEW) that it will construct a Fast Attack Craft which will be equipped with the missiles under license from China.
